Home Procurement Made Easy: Behind Our Investment In Workwize
ASIF invested in its second company of 2021, Workwize. This means that yet another company will enter our already notorious portfolio.
Workwize - the procurement platform that makes working from home as easy as it gets. It’s a user-driven procurement platform for businesses, tailored to the needs of employees. They raised a round of 500k+ from ASIF alongside other angel investors. We wrote a short piece about why we are so excited about Workwize!
Vision is everything
Workwize solves a problem rather new to our work-lives, yet far overdue in the eyes of many. COVID accelerated this change, for the better and for the worst. (Partially) working from home has become the new standard in a matter of weeks, and it’s here to stay. Michiel, Sebastiaan, Victor and Dirk were aware of this earlier than most. They noticed a very large pain point for companies going through this transition: the financial and administrative burden of ensuring a safe and sound working environment at home for their employees. The solution they came up with is called Workwize, a user-driven procurement platform for businesses.
The new standard of procurement has arrived
Change often brings in new challenges, challenges Workwize recognized from the very beginning. How to structure the supplies that your workers need, when they work from home? How about that new chair that they need, or the cup of coffee they drink every day at 12:25, how do companies structure these supply chains and expenses?
Workwize solves this problem from A to Z, offering an all-in-one dashboard solution for both employers and employees, ensuring that a company’s employees are provided with responsible ergonomic home workstations, allowing them to work better from home. Responsibly furnishing your home office has never been easier.
Speed is everything
Although Workwize only started in January of this year, they impressed us with their skills to sell and to onboard some big players. At this point, they are serving more than 3000 home offices and workplaces in different sectors. They managed to onboard a large Dutch company within the FMCG sector, a large logistics company and Mollie, within a matter of months, ensuring us that this team is up for the challenge!
Workwize has seen its sales funnel blow up over the last weeks, as companies are acknowledging the challenges and are now in the search of a structural and easy solution; like Workwize! Co-founder Michiel emphasizes how important it will be for companies to offer a structural home working solution to employees: "Today's employee expects that the employer not only allows but also actively supports home working. As soon as this doesn't happen, there is a big chance that talent will switch to a competitor who has organised this properly."
500K from ASIF and Angels
Workwize raised a massive round of 500k, financed by ASIF Ventures, angels and other informals. With this investment, they will be able to expand on their sales and development process, while upgrading their customer support for the already existing users. We believe that Workwize will do great things in the years to come, and are looking forward to welcoming them into our portfolio!
