Q. Looking back, how would you describe your experience as part of ASIF Ventures? What initially drew you to join the fellowship, and what were some of the tasks and responsibilities you usually handled?

ASIF struck me as a fantastic way to get a taste of the VC world. I immediately got to work helping organize events and manage our relationships with sponsors. Since the workload varied, I often assisted with due diligence as well, allowing me to gain valuable insights into investment decision-making.

Q. Are there any projects or accomplishments from your time at ASIF that you feel especially proud of?

I really enjoyed working on valuation projects and helping organize PitchXL, an event that brought together startups and investors for exciting pitch opportunities.

Q. How has being part of ASIF Ventures influenced your career path or academic direction? Are there any skills, perspectives, or values you developed at ASIF that you still apply today?

ASIF was an invaluable opportunity to experience the venture capital world from the inside. I built relationships and gained perspectives that will last a lifetime. Now, I feel confident discussing the ins and outs of pre-seed investing, which has significantly shaped my understanding of the startup ecosystem.

Q. What are some of the most significant takeaways from your time as a Fellow? Whether related to mentorship, teamwork, or navigating challenges, what lessons or moments stand out to you?

Work is only what you make of it! If you have the right ambitions, people will see it and help you get where you want to go. Having talented and well-connected mentors to guide you in the right direction is an incredible advantage.

Q. What advice would you give to current Fellows to make the most of their time in the fellowship?

Treat it like the opportunity that it is! Use your time to explore different areas and find what fits you best.

Q. Finally, if you were to recommend ASIF Ventures to others, what would you say in one or two sentences?
