Horia Ghiban
Deal Flow DirectorMy name is Horia Ghiban, and I am the Deal Flow & Investment Director at ASIF Ventures. I graduated with a BSc in Business Administration specializing in Finance at the University of Amsterdam, with a minor in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
During my time at university, I co-founded Tulip Ventures, the first student association dedicated to Amsterdam's startup ecosystem. This experience, along with my involvement in various leadership and teaching roles, sparked my passion for supporting student entrepreneurs. I’m inspired by students who can take bold risks to pursue their ideas, free from the commitments and constraints that often come later in life. It’s incredibly rewarding to be the one who helps enable that leap of faith, providing the support they need to turn their ambitions into reality.
At ASIF Ventures, I manage the investment pipeline, identify promising startups, and oversee the due diligence process. I aim to ensure that student startups have the support, funding, and guidance they need to thrive. Drawing from my experience at 4impact, an impact VC fund I worked at over the summer, I am dedicated to enhancing ASIF’s internal frameworks and driving efficiency. My goal is to leave ASIF stronger and more impactful than I found it, setting it up for continued success in the future.
